Before now, the Bruins dropped goalie Malcolm Subban into the Vegas Golden Knights, place Torey Krug and Austin Czarnik on IR, also delivered Rob O’Gara into Providence.
You know what this means: we (likely) have an opening night roll!
Those motions obtained the Bruins down to 23 players, the necessity for opening night.
With a few bizarre happenings, there will be the Bruins that can take part in the opening night celebrations:
Bruins forward (14)
Noel Acciari, David Backes, Matt Beleskey, Patrice Bergeron, Anders Bjork, Jake DeBrusk, David Krejci, Sean Kuraly, Brad Marchand, Riley Nash, David Pastrnak, Tim Schaller, Ryan Spooner and Frank Vatrano.
Bruins defensemen (7)
Brandon Carlo, Zdeno Chara, Matt Grzelcyk, Charlie McAvoy, Adam McQuaid, Kevan Miller and Paul Postma.
Bruins goalies (two)
Anton Khudobin and Tuukka Rask.
It seems that Grzelcyk beat out Rob O’Gara for this “Potential Torey Krug Fill-in” role. Anticipate those men to battle for this area while Krug is outside, as call-ups out of Providence are always an alternative.
That is a great deal of childhood at the forward corps. It is going to be fascinating to find out what Bjork and DeBrusk can perform, as both will likely perform at the upper six (at least at any stage).
No openings in web. Here is to hoping Khudobin can shoulder a little more of the load this year.
What do you believe? Can this roll inspire any assurance, or are you currently iffy with this group?
